I began my artistic journey with archival markers and colored pencils for my mandalas in the summer of 2017. I then graduated to watercolor for a brief period of time. What I offer currently is my digital art. The most enjoyable part of the digital technique for me is the way in which I can use LIGHT to portray the many images I receive. For about six months beginning in 2018, I feverishly channeled these digital images EVERY day. It was as though I entered another universe altogether. I was consumed by this process and wound up with hundreds of images! I continue to enjoy this process currently.
Nature is by far my greatest inspiration. Nothing can compare to its beauty, its elegance and majesty. I enjoy painting flowers and birds, particularly ravens who often appear to me in dreams, and I'm fascinated by the Devic Realm of faeries, gnomes and other ethereal life of seldom-seen dimensions. I'm also drawn to deep space, ETs and other worlds. I know that I am part of the grand and sacred plan of the Divine Universe and hope to help others to realize their own inner Beauty, Light and Truth through my art.
Here is one of my colored pencil mandalas taking shape. This was a commissioned piece.
These are some of my original watercolor paintings. What I love about watercolor is its softness, its blending abilities and the way it has a "mind of its own." I will definitely be offering new watercolor originals in the near future.
Here is one of my recent digital art paintings coming to life via a time lapse video. This guy took me 4.34 hours and required 5,748 paint strokes.
I really feel that digital painting has earned its rightful place in the art world. The program I use, called Procreate, has literally hundreds of brushes available for me to use with my stylus pencil. I can achieve thousands of textures, including watercolor and oil paint.
The design choices and artistic styles with digital art are endless and I look forward to keeping up with this ever-changing creative landscape.
I currently offer my art through this website as well as at The Kress Emporium in Asheville, North Carolina.
My husband is another source of true inspiration for me. 💜 He is my rock and my lifeline of support, always encouraging, always joyful and my biggest fan. We feel so very privileged to live in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where I am inspired every day by the glory of Nature's finest displays of wonder.
